We use cookies and a couple of similar technologies to make ExcuseWiz work and to understand how it’s being used. This page lists each one in plain language. Change your preferences anytime at Cookie settings.
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, the browser sends it back so the site can remember something — a preference, a session, a count.
We group cookies into four categories:
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| consent_v1 | Necessary | Stores your cookie preferences so we don't ask again. | 365 days |
| theme | Necessary | Stores your light/dark mode preference. (localStorage, not a cookie.) | Until you clear it |
| sb-* (Supabase auth) | Necessary | Keeps the admin operator signed in. Not set for regular visitors. | Session / refresh-token TTL |
| Provider | Cookie names | Category | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | _ga, _ga_*, _gid | Analytics | Anonymous usage stats. | View |
| Google AdSense | __gads, __gpi, IDE, NID | Advertising | Ad serving + measurement. | View |

We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie use evolves. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new “last updated” date.
